**_Your Role_**:
We are seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to join our Drake Medox team This role is focused on supporting our client to maximise their independence and capacity in creative and meaningful ways. We are looking for fun, down-to-earth individuals to use their professional skills and knowledge to enhance our client's daily life and progress towards their goals. Due to the nature and complexity of the individuals' support needs, applicants must be able to demonstrate experience and knowledge of working with people with complex mental health.
**Duties**:
- Supporting our client to maintain and grow their independence in their daily living tasks
- Assist with NDIS goals and creative thinking to maximise quality of life
- Providing true and authentic companionship to the client
- Champion the client to achieve their set goals for the day
- Assist and support the client in the home and out in the community
- Assisting with meal preparation and basic household tasks
- Transporting and supporting the client to engage with Medical and Allied Health services
- Medication Administration
**You **must** currently have**:
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate of Completion
- Working With Children Check
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificates
- Valid Australian Drivers Licence & Comprehensive Third-Party Insurance
- Proof of COVID Vaccinations
- Cert III or IV in Individual Support or Relevant Experience
- Experience, Exposure of Knowledge of Mental Health
- A fun, down-to-earth and enthusiastic approach to life
- Act with honesty, transparency, and respect at all times
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrates patience, resilience, and compassion in the face of barriers
- Proven reliability and dedication to follow through
- A practical, no-nonsense approach
- Available for PM Shifts
- Experience or Knowledge of the impacts of mental health
