Based in Canberra, ACT, this is your chance to contribute to the successful upgrade of the National Broadband Network.As a Site Engineer, you'll report to the Project Engineer and play a key role in supporting the project team.

Flexible Working Arrangements – Strike the perfect balance with a mix of in-office, onsite and work-from-home days.Job Security – Permanent full-time role supporting a major NBN project expected to run through to 2030.Career Growth – Tap into training, mentoring, and internal opportunities to take your career to the next level.Team Culture That Inspires – Join a supportive, knowledgeable, and open team that celebrates success and learns together.Employee Benefits - Access a wide range of benefits including; Discounted private health insurance, Paid parental leave, Discounted travel and lifestyle offers, Wellbeing and support programsKey Accountabilities:Monitor construction progress, reporting delays and issues to senior engineers.Manage and reconcile the BOQ based on construction progress.Assist in final contract sum reconciliation with project engineers.Report and track construction variations.Verify BOQ revisions align with CWPs and the Construction Report.Ensure timely delivery of completion artefacts and closure of CARs and defects.Identify and communicate field issue trends to the Project Engineer.Participate in Lessons Learnt and Innovation workshops.Prepare material orders and manage material issuance and reconciliation.Validate FSAM accruals with the Project Engineer for month-end reporting.About You:Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or related fieldNBN or Telco experience is a mustKnowledge of construction and cost management principlesUnderstanding of project environments and meeting client deadlinesEagerness to learnAbout VentiaVentia is a leading infrastructure services company, operating across Australia and New Zealand.
