As a our Contracts Manager you will lead a dedicated contracts administration team in the management of the head
- and subcontracts for our CopperString 2032 project. You will ensure that Powerlink's rights and obligations are maintained, contractual commitments are upheld, whilst risks are minimised, and the projects contracts are administered with accuracy and efficiency.
And you'll do it with down-to-earth people who you're proud to work with and get to know.
Here's how:
- Support the management and administration of head contract agreements and their associated documentation with contractors.
- Manage the deliverables of the head Contractor, ensuring the Contractor is complying with its obligations and deliverables across the entire Project.
- Assess contract claims, with an intent to resolve in accordance with the terms of the contract and avoid disputes where possible.
- Educate the project delivery team with the relevant conditions applicable to their roles, to ensure commercial implications associated within the contracts are managed appropriately
- Manage the contracts team project deliverables and assist in the evaluation and selection process of contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Manage correspondence regarding contracts management and ensure compliance with agreed standards, practices and systems, incl. Projects governance procedures and DOA.
**The community you will join**:
Based in our CopperString 2032 project delivery office in Bowen Hills you will lead a professional Contracts administration team identifying and managing contractual risks and opportunities associated with CopperString 2032, creating opportunities for input to improve Powerlink's commercial decision making in delivering this once-in-a-generation project.
**Your expertise**:
Degree level qualifications in Business, Law, Commerce, Procurement, Engineering or relevant discipline
Significant experience in contract management within the construction or infrastructure industry, with a track record of successful project delivery.
Strong negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels to resolve and reach commercially desirable outcomes.
Exceptional organizational and analytical abilities, with keen attention to detail and the capacity to manage multiple contracts simultaneously.
Proficient in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite
