City Cite is an experiential learning experience to help develop aware, resilient and empathetic students.
Based in Flinders Street, Melbourne CBD, City Cite provides a base for students from across Melbourne and Victoria whilst immersing themselves into the life of the city.
City Cite was established in 2001 by Ballarat Grammar School and is part of the BGS Educational Services division of the School.
Working with partner schools and service providers, City Cite provides engaging learning programs for students to become active global citizens.
Ballarat Grammar is one of regional Australia's leading co-educational schools with a proud history dating back to 1877 and a flourishing community of over 1,900 students from 6 months to Year 12, including around 260 boarders.
To commence Term 1, 2026 Full-time, ongoing position Join the teaching team at City Cite, where the bustling streets of Melbourne's CBD will be your classroom.
You'll use your understanding of social justice issues to deliver City Cite's immersive experiential learning program to students from a diverse range of schools, providing primarily Middle Years students with an understanding of the world and their place in it.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) Registration (or ability to obtain), including a VIT approved Teaching qualification.
Ability to demonstrate and authentically promote Ballarat Grammar's values.
Demonstrated educational teaching experience, especially with Middle Years students.
Knowledge of social justice issues.
Relevant experience as a classroom practitioner with experience designing and delivering engaging and differentiated learning experiences.
Familiarity with the academic and wellbeing needs of students and strategies to support their holistic development.
A proven ability to work effectively, constructively and collaboratively within a team.
