- This role oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. You would review status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. In addition you will also assess project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. You would be required to develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
- You will be working in our Adelaide CBD office, located on Pirie Street. This role requires an NV1 clearance.**Your responsibilities will include**:
- Act as the primary conduit for assigned facility projects as assigned.
- Support Business Development / Customer Support for the facility development on assigned proposals
- Work with the engineering team and external consultants on the estimating process for existing and new opportunities for assigned projects
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure resourcing and material planning is conducted in a standardised and sustainable method
- Establish detailed schedules in conjunction with department managers, ensuring regular communication occurs to relevant stakeholders
- Coordinate the development and achievement of budgets for assigned projects
- Ensure execution of schedules, including design, construction and commissioning of current and future facilities.
- Identify and evaluate project risks and escalate for resolution when beyond the control of the Business Unit
- Work Collaboratively with sourcing team to ensuring robust tendering and purchasing for assigned projects.
- Coordinate activities of assigned project leads
- Coordinate project meetings and the drafting and issuing of project status reports [PSR] to ensure regular stakeholder and customer project updates
- Conduct pre-start meetings with assigned staff and support personnel prior to induction to Project sites
- Ensure execution of schedules, including design, construction and commissioning of current and future facilities.
- Coordinate customers and stakeholder site visits as required
- Perform regular management updates on project status such as schedule, man-hours, cost and other identified project analytics
- For sub-contracted work, in conjunction with Sourcing negotiate subcontractor agreements and conduct project status updates via teleconference or on-site; ensures resources are available to support the contractor (design, planning and material)
- Perform post-check meetings and analysis to evaluate project performance, provide recognition and identify improvement areas
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities and lesson learnt and contribute to the development of improved business processes
**About you**:
To be successful in securing this position, you will have:
- Degree / Diploma qualifications in Project Management
- Excellent Contractor/ consultant and stakeholder engagement experience.
- Construction White -Ticket certified
- Current NV1 Clearance
- Substantial experience in delivering 10Mil plus facility projects within the defence environment
- Strong understanding of Facility Management Procedures and practices
- Strong ability to demonstrate a commitment to quality and timeliness in all work deliverables.
- Change Management experience
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline from a recognised institution and/or relevant experience within the Defence sector
**Special Requirements**:
