You'll play a vital role in protecting over 90,000 hectares of managed forest land through direct firefighting, mop-up operations, surveillance, and forest maintenance tasks.Key Responsibilities:Fire suppression and prescribed burningWeed and wildling controlFence repairs, erosion works, and signage installationFirebreak clearing and survival assessmentsQualifications/Training to be provided:Bushfire Safety Awareness and Firefighting Skills certificationChainsaw operation, First Aid, and MR-B class licence (preferred)Pesticide technician licence and medical fitness clearanceAvailability for weekday work and weekend standbyProficiency with mapping apps (e.g., Avenza) and radio communicationPreferred Attributes:Crew-leader trainingWillingness to travel and work remotelyMachine operation experienceYou'll be part of a dynamic team committed to land protection and forest health.
