About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled and motivated
Tax Accountant
with a CPA qualification to join our client. The ideal candidate will have strong technical tax expertise combined with proven team management and client engagement skills. You will be responsible for managing tax compliance and advisory services, leading a team of accountants, and building strong relationships with clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review complex tax returns and compliance documents for individuals, businesses, and trusts
Provide tax planning and advisory services to optimise client tax positions
Lead and mentor a team of junior accountants to ensure high-quality and timely delivery of services
Manage and develop client relationships, understanding their needs and providing proactive solutions
Keep up to date with tax legislation and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements
Collaborate with other departments and external advisors to provide integrated financial solutions
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and tax provision calculations as needed
Participate in business development initiatives and contribute to firm growth
Requirements:
CPA qualification (Certified Practising Accountant) is mandatory
Proven experience in tax accounting, compliance, and advisory
Demonstrated ability to manage and lead a team effectively
Strong client management and communication skills
Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving abilities
Proficiency with Xero software and MS Office applications
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Commitment to maintaining professional ethics and confidentiality
