**About the role**
Reporting to the Poultry Farm Manager, your duties and responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

- Shed cleanout, disinfection, washing and maintenance
- Catch setup, catching birds and loading the truck during depopulation
- Carry out daily shed checks on bird welfare, including feed, water, and environment when required
- Shed bedding and setup, chick placement and bird transfer to growing sheds
- Cleaning and maintaining farm equipment, machines and infrastructure

**About you**
As a Poultry Farm Leading Hand, you will be:

- Comfortable working with live poultry in a farm environment
- Experienced on farm machinery such as telehandlers, skid-steers and tractors
- Physically fit and able to perform manual labour and repetitive tasks
- Able to follow strict biosecurity and safety protocols
- Strong attention to detail and animal welfare awareness
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or in a team
- Available for work on weekends as part of a rotating roster

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $30.55 per hour

Expected hours: 38 - 40 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Supplementary Pay:

- Overtime pay
- Penalty rates

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)

Work Location: In person
