**Role Summary**:
The Head of Strategy, Policy and Social Value is an exciting opportunity in our People, Strategy and Social Value business unit based at our Perth CBD office.

Your position is part of senior leadership in People Strategy and Social Value and plays an integral role in the strategic planning of this business unit. You are a member of Synergy's senior leadership team (SLT) executing the corporate strategy, leading people and role modelling culture.

You are accountable for developing Synergy's vision, strategic ambition, and plan to effect long term, transformative business outcomes.

**Key responsibilities of the role include**:

- Advise on strategic options and major projects requiring major financial commitments impacting state net by or on behalf of Synergy and debt
- Commercialise Synergy's competitive positioning in long-term energy trading aligned to Synergy's strategic intent via evaluation of business models or commercial arrangements, managing or underwriting risk on behalf of customers and counterparties
- Manage Synergy's advocacy to the state government regarding energy market and economic reform programs and initiatives
- Manage and coordinate all Synergy engagement and correspondence with government departments and GTEs
- Oversee design and development of Synergy's social value framework, aligning outcomes to outcomes and KPIs defined in corporate strategy

**What you'll bring**:

- Bachelor's degree in economics, business, commerce or finance
- 12+ years' experience in applied strategy and business analysis
- 10+ years in a senior government relations role
- Track record of developing effective internal and external relationships with stakeholders
