expectant and new parents to ensure those in need receive timely, appropriate, and supportive care.

FTE:
This position is for a part-time role 3 days per week based at Gidget House in North Sydney, with some opportunity

About the Role:
Reporting to the Clinical Director and working collaboratively with the Clinical Team Leader and the Programs
Manager, this newly created role is responsible for building sustainable relationships with key stakeholders to
foster advocacy and awareness of GFA services. The role is accountable for driving community education in
perinatal mental health and wellbeing, while ensuring the content is contemporary, evidence-informed, adaptive
and responsive to the needs of health professionals, consumers, and the wider community. The position will also
work collaboratively with the Clinical, Programs and Marketing teams to develop culturally responsive programs
and resources which meet the needs of GFA's diverse communities.
- Key Accountabilities:
- Develop and deliver perinatal mental health education, training and health promotion activities to
- professionals, corporate partners and the community.- Work collaboratively with the Clinical, Programs and Marketing teams to develop culturally responsive
- perinatal mental health (PMH) programs, training, resources and collateral.- Support GFA's presence at conferences and events through professional contributions to presentations, papers
- and speaking opportunities.- Provide expert PMH advice and consultation to internal and external stakeholders, aligned organisations and
- community groups.- Drive expansion and engagement activities to increase GFA's geographical reach and influence.
- Partner with local communities to build PMH capacity among existing service providers.
- Collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders nationally to identify and address gaps in service
- provision.- Provide leadership and support to build confidence and capacity in delivering inclusive programs across GFA.
- Contribute to service planning and integration which supports inclusive practice.
- Coordinate delivery and reporting of community engagement and education activities.

About you:
- Previous experience in a health promotion or health education role.
- Tertiary qualifications in nursing, education or allied health.
- Collaborative working style with strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Experience working in community health or the not-for profit sector.

- Competitive salary, and not-for-profit salary packaging options are available (currently up to $15,900 per annum

of your salary). Superannuation is exclusive to the base salary.
