The Head of Divisional Controls, Enterprise Services is critical in driving risk, obligation, and controls awareness, understanding and change including the uplift of NAB's controls infrastructure. As a key member of the Enterprise Operations DCO Leadership Team, you will contribute to a high-performing culture that values hands on leadership, bring deep risk and control management experience to build trusted relationships across Enterprise Operations. This Head of role will specifically support Enterprise Services.

You will also work directly with the Executive, DCO in advising and supporting the Executive Enterprise Operations to meet all RMPF requirements.

**This role is primarily responsible for**:

- Leading a team who support the management of risk and compliance obligations, control monitoring, and related management reporting
- Supporting operational risk and regulatory obligation identification, impact assessment and change within the Division
- Engaging and managing senior stakeholders to implement and improve business systems and processes through the use/integration of the risk and compliance framework
- Risk profiling: assisting to identify key risks and design of indicators to monitor, input into Divisional Risk Setting Statements as relevant
- Designing controls: assisting to identify the right key controls to mitigate key risks and obligations applicable to the business
- Exceptional communication with the Divisional Leadership Teams and senior stakeholders
- Providing business specific input and context to: Risk deep dive reviews, Internal Audit reviews, Assurance reports, Action plans for ineffective operational controls
- Assisting in regulatory responses and regulatory engagement matters
- Leading key initiatives within the business and engaging senior stakeholders to ensure outcomes are delivered
- Development and engagement of direct reports

**What you will bring**:

- 10+ years experience in a operational risk, compliance, legal, consulting, and/or audit role
- Ability to provide a diverse range of advice, guidance and expertise to support business leaders with executing their risk and compliance management accountabilities
- Thinks broadly within defined strategies and policies to meet business needs.
- Adapts and determines new solutions to address complex problems and meet challenging timelines.
- Deep sense of curiosity and ability to raise difficult questions that drives better decision making
- Oversight and in some case deliver and manage, the operational requirements or outcomes to agreed metrics/objectives.
- Comprehensive knowledge of risk management and compliance disciplines
- Practical approach to solving issues balancing strong commercial acumen within a risk framework
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, with an ability to engage, build relationships and influence with ease
- Understanding of processes, products and systems
- Outstanding knowledge of risk management and compliance disciplines
- Excellent people leadership skills
- Ideal but not essential: proven track record delivering complex projects and change management
