THE ROLE

The Roasting Assistant role is a full-time role at Rumble Coffee Roasters. This is a varied job that involves sample roasting, production roasting, cupping, packing orders, wholesale deliveries around greater Melbourne, and general warehouse duties. Full training will be provided.

Friendly customer service and solid organisational skills are a must. Anticipate drinking lots of coffee, solid team banter, and a supportive and hard-working culture.

WHAT'S INVOLVED
- Preparing green coffee for roasting
- Roasting coffee on our Loring and Probat roasters.
- Production roasting to the profiles set by the Head Roaster.
- Basic roaster maintenance and cleaning.
- Contributing to an efficient roasting workflow.
- Preparing cupping sessions for QC team.
- Packing wholesale orders
- Ensuring the packing area is kept neat and functional throughout the day.
- Delivering orders to our wholesale customers.
- Packing online orders for retail customers.
- General cleaning of roastery.
- Willingness to jump in and help coworkers when needed.
- Receiving deliveries at the roastery.
- Assisting with running public cuppings.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Physically fit and able-bodied. This is a physical job that involves being able to lift coffee sacks and carry buckets of coffee. This job is well-suited to someone who involves a physical and dynamic role.
- Full manual drivers licence.
- Willingness to learn new skills
- Experience in coffee roasting, picking and packing, or hospitality is favourable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Forklift licence is favourable.
