**Position Information**:
Kotara South Public School has a proud tradition of providing a stimulating, rich and relevant education for each of our 321 students through quality teaching and life-long learning practices in a positive, safe and supportive environment. Our school vision is to be a school of excellence, demonstrating outstanding school culture and educational success for all. We proudly support 12 classes and one Hearing support unit, including 16 Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students. Student excellence is promoted through the partnership between school, students and families, and cultural awareness that 'together we can achieve our very best'. Our students achieve at a high level academically, artistically, socially and in sport, reflecting our belief that KSPS is 'a great place to be'. The whole school community work towards developing our values of being safe, respectful learners.

**Selection Criteria**:
1. Approval to teach Hearing Impairment (primary and/or secondary), and a willingness to teach AUSLAN.

2. Demonstrated ability to deliver high quality, literacy and numeracy programs with the use of data to inform differentiated teaching and learning.

3. Demonstrated commitment to student wellbeing and a proven ability to implement high quality classroom management that support the implementation of student personalised learning plans that impact positively on student engagement and a culture of inclusion.

4. Proven outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work cohesively as part of a team to build positive relationships with students, parents, staff and the wider community to support whole school directions.

5. Knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander policy and how this impacts learning.
