Working with the Commercial team within our Aerospace line of business, where your contribution will ensure the best commercial outcomes for the Customer and the business whilst contributing to the support of the Australian Defence Forces.This opportunity is available at our Williamtown NSW office and open to hybrid work, flexibility and 9 day fortnightPRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIESReview, draft, negotiate and finalise contracts and commercial agreements and support with complex contractsManage commercial contracts and the commercial elements of the Life Cycle Management and Request for Bid Approval process within own possessionBe responsive to the needs and wants of the customer by understanding their requirements, through researched understanding, open discussion and candid clarification questions, influence where requiredSupport Procurement and Supply Chain colleagues in the preparation of sub-contract terms and conditions as requiredWork with the internal legal team and external legal advisors as required to ensure all contracts have the necessary legal input/governanceContribute to the preparation and presentation of major Life Cycle Management reviews and Request for Bid Approval process, ensuring the necessary approvals are obtained within the governance of the operational frameworkSupport the Commercial Manager and other members of the teamUnderstand the financial and pricing requirements of commercial contractsProvide advice on commercial policy to managers and non-commercial staff making the case for the added value of these processesDraft moderately complex contracts / agreements with little supervisionAbout YOUYou'll have:Previous experience in a similar roleFlexible with a lean in approachTeam orientation with a high level of written and oral communication skills including the ability to communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders of all levels and from a range of disciplinesA curious mind-setAn ability to work as part of a team or independently with little supervision and guidance and using your own experience, judgement and initiativeAdept at building and maintaining excellent relationships with internal and external stakeholdersComputer literacy, with intermediate knowledge of MS Suite.
