OverviewNurse Unit Manager (Sexual Assault) – Women's and Children's Services at Mackay Hospital and Health Service.
This is a temporary appointment within the Women's and Children's Services at the Mackay Base Hospital.ResponsibilitiesServe as an advanced practice nursing position with specialised clinical expertise and/or skill set.Provide direct care and/or support of systems, education and professional leadership.Offer consultation and professional advice within the service.Responsibility for a cohort of staff reporting to the position, including education and research advice.Qualifications and RequirementsRegistered Nurse (Nursing).
Demonstrated specialised clinical expertise and/or leadership in a relevant area.Experience in sexual assault services or trauma-informed care is advantageous (not required information from original text but aligns with role).
About the Team and ServiceThe Mackay HHS Sexual Assault Service operates within the Hospital and Health Service to provide trauma-informed, medically/forensically responsive care.
