The Yilgarn region has a long history of iron ore mining and is located in the Shires or Yilgarn and Menzies with ore being railed to Esperance Port for export.
The productive mining areas are located on the land of the Marlinyu Ghoorlie Native Title Group.In this role, you will:Perform the servicing, repair and maintenance of mobile fleet and other equipment in accordance with Thiess servicing, lubrication and maintenance systems documentation.Completing general maintenance, breakdowns, services and component change outs to a high standard.Source technical information from the relevant available reference manuals, technical bulletins, OEM and computer based systems.Ensure good housekeeping standards are maintained at all times.Provide technical information to staff and operations personnel.Conduct technical inspections and job estimations.About youAutomotive Trade (Light Vehicle Mechanical) or relevant equivalentPost-trade experience working in the Mining or Heavy Earth Moving industryExperience in Vehicle Air Conditioning systems desiredExperience in generalmaintenance, breakdowns, component change outs and servicing of Toyota vehiclesYou will also need to possess a high regard for and practice health and safety at all timesWhat Thiess can do for youPermanent full-time positionsFull camp facilities providedThiess' commitment to training & developmentSalary sacrifice options - Flights & novated leasingRange of corporate discounts including health insurance (Medibank), travel & retail products.About usAt Thiess, we partner with our clients to deliver excellence in open cut and underground mining in Australia, Asia and the Americas.
