We currently have an opportunity for Trainee Draftspersons to work with our partner in the Wollongong area, to complete a Certificate IV in Drafting - Engineering. This traineeship is a 36 month commitment of study and gaining on job work experience.

Our client is renowned for engineering excellence and is seeking smart, enthusiastic, and committed individuals to join the team as a Trainee Drafter.

What we are looking for is someone with strong mathematic ability, possibly Technical Drawing skills from high school and a great attitude to work harmoniously within a diverse team. This fast-paced organisation offers a great opportunity to build a career in Drafting and Computer Aided Design (CAD).

Role Description

As a Trainee Draftsperson, you will work closely with engineers to support the team in tasks such as:

- Drafting and using software (Inventor) to prepare general assembly drawings and designs
- Convert from 2D to 3D modelling and visualisation, prototype and conceptual design diagrams through to manufacturing details
- Use computer aided drafting suite (CAD) to produce accurate designs, detailed drawings & documentation
- Preparation of working drawings showing plans, elevations, sections, materials and finishes
- Calculate, quantify and prepare schedule of materials & equipment.
- Participate in site surveys, measures & inspections
- Preparation & distribution of Project Documentation & Manual
- Printing & Copying of Project plans.
