APG is currently seeking an experienced Principal Planning Officer for a 6-month contract within a Parramatta Government Sector.

**Pay Rate: $670 - $775 Daily plus Super**

**Primary Purpose of Role**
A new approach to the development of road and utilities is proposed for the Aerotropolis, Australia's most ambitious greenfield development project. The concept would be a first in Australia and tackles the issues and conflicts arising from legacy rights of utility providers and road upgrades in NSW.

The Principal Planning Officer will contribute to the provision of utilities to the new Bradfield City Centre and Aerotropolis, including water, energy, gas and telecommunications. Working as part of a collaborative andmulti-disciplinary team, the role will help define the planning reforms required to support the delivery of multi-utility corridors and precincts.

The role will provide high-quality expert advice supporting the investigation and development of planning reforms, working with key stakeholders in government and the private sector on potential new solutions delivering benefits to customers and residents of the Western Parkland City

**Essential requirements**
- Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline (Economics, Law, Public Policy, Environment, Engineering, Finance, Commerce) and/or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience.
- Demonstrated experience in leading research and analysis in support of planning reforms and/or developing strategies and plans in the transport, planning and/or infrastructure sectors.
- Demonstrated experience in working constructively with people and resources across organisational business areas and with stakeholder resources to develop high profile projects and programs.
- Demonstrated strategic and lateral thinking, agile problem-solving skills, and communication skills, and a strong interest in reform.
