**The position**
SCOTS PGC College is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Humanities Teacher to join our
Economics).

This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and educate the next generation of thinkers and leaders
in a supportive and collaborative environment.

This is a full-time role to commence on Wednesday, 22 January 2025.

**Key Responsibilities**

1. Build strong, professional relationships with students, parents and colleagues.
2. Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons.
3. Develop and implement engaging and differentiated teaching strategies to meet the

diverse learning needs of students.
4. Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
5. Foster a positive, safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student

participation and enthusiasm for learning.
6. Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share teaching strategies and best practices.
7. Participate in our co-curricular program and contribute to the broader school community.

**What you will need to possess**

1. A passion for working with children.
2. A demonstrated ability to create and maintain positive, professional relationships with

students, parents and colleagues.
3. Experience in establishing a safe, supportive and nurturing learning environment that

extends beyond the classroom.
4. A commitment to the pastoral care and wellbeing of each student.
5. The ability to teach Humanities in Years 7-10. The ability to teach one or more of our senior

offerings (Modern History, Geography or Economics) would be an advantage.
6. A strong commitment to the holistic nature of education at an independent school.
7. The ability to be registered as a teacher in Queensland.
