The Role
The successful applicant will ideally provide strategic and instructional leadership across Kindergarten and Pre-Primary (K-PP), ensuring practice aligns with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), Kindergarten Curriculum Guidelines (KCG) and the National Quality Standard (NQS).
You will ideally lead a large team of experienced educators to deliver joyful, rigorous, play-based learning that builds strong foundations for literacy, numeracy and wellbeing.
Key responsibilities:
Lead curriculum, pedagogy and assessment in K–PP in line with the Aubin Grove PS Pedagogical Framework and the EYLF/KCG.
Drive continuous improvement against the NQS, including Quality Improvement Planning and evidence-informed practice.
Coach and develop staff through observation, feedback and targeted professional learning.
Use data intelligently to monitor progress, guide intervention and celebrate growth.
Strengthen inclusive practice, early intervention and positive behaviour support.
Build strong partnerships with families, the wider community, and outside agencies (e.g., child development services, allied health, NDIS providers) to support student success and smooth transitions.
Champion and model our FiSH Charter, nurturing a culture of kindness, high expectations and professional excellence.
Desirable attritbutes:
Proven leadership experience in K–PP within a primary school context.
Deep knowledge of the EYLF, KCG and NQS, with a track record of leading improvement.
Outstanding interpersonal skills and the capacity to lead, inspire and performance-develop a large, experienced team.
Expertise in instructional coaching, data-informed decision-making and play-based, explicit teaching.
A collaborative, community-minded approach, with confidence working effectively with outside agencies.
A values-driven leader who lives our FiSH Charter and models professional integrity.

Demonstrated capacity to manage staff, physical and financial resources.
