Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria (RBGV) employs over 240 staff overseeing two beautiful world-class gardens, Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne and Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne.

What You'll Do
Lightscape presented by Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria and Sony Music Entertainment Australia, is a 2km journey of light and sound through Melbourne Gardens at night, featuring installations by international and Australian artists.
To support the retail team during this incredibly popular event, RBGV are seeking a Casual Retail Sales Assistant (Lightscape) who will ensure high-quality shop presentation, process sales using our POS system, replenish stock and maintain appropriate records. Your friendly and engaging personality will be essential in helping answer customer questions and queries about Lightscape and you will confidently provide information to direct the public to relevant event staff or areas. This is a great opportunity to work collaboratively with the retail team, as well as staff from other divisions.

What You'll Bring
Success in this role requires strong retail sales experience and customer selling skills, cash handling expertise, and familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems. A natural communicator, you enjoy building rapport with customers and colleagues. You take pride in your work, using your initiative to maintain a high level of presentation of the retail environment. You are now looking to bring your dedication and enthusiasm for customer service to this popular event at an iconic landmark. You will be available to work evening shifts between 5pm and 10.30pm Wednesday-Sunday.
