**THE OPPORTUNITY**
We have an exciting opportunity for a Conveyancing Assistant to join our Real Estate team on a 12 months Maximum Term Contract.
As a Conveyancing Assistant you will provide high level administrative support, working alongside the Conveyancing Administrator, to the Licenced Conveyancers.
**In this role you will be responsible for**:
- Initiating and tracking of trust monies - this includes deposits, sending out trust deposit receipts, identifying and tracking unidentified trust monies.
- Liaising with Business Finance Trust Accounting Team on new trust accounting processes.
- Matter opening, ongoing maintenance and billing.
- Maintenance of off-plan development project spreadsheets.
- Providing timely and accurate administrative support to licenced conveyancers.
- Delivering high quality, accurate work whilst managing deadlines, responding to change and the competing priorities of all work.
- Meeting required deadlines and negotiate alternate timeframes when necessary.
- Assist with updating client information and relevant databases in a timely manner (eg, InterAction).
- Taking all necessary steps to ensure you are aware of correct procedures. Maintaining inquisitive, collaborative and vigilant work habits, keeping abreast of changes and developing more efficient work processes.
- Demonstrating enthusiasm and proactivity in the workplace, including participating in and contributing to team meetings and activities, firm initiatives, learning and development sessions and other relevant activities.
**SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS**
**Key skills and experience includes**:
- Previous legal secretary experience - preferably within Real Estate/Property team.
- Experience with supporting a conveyancing practice, specifically off-plan conveyancing is desirable.
- A working understanding of managing trust monies in a conveyancing context is desirable.
- High attention to detail and level of accuracy in output is essential.
- Experience with Aderant Expert is desirable.
- High level of proficiency with the Microsoft suite (Outlook, Word and PowerPoint) in particular, Excel is essential.
- Good written and verbal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to build effective and trusting relationships with people internally and external to the firm

Our legal support team also plays a client-facing role as our assistants are typically in regular contact with our clients on behalf of lawyers.
