. This is a full-time role with a hybrid working pattern, based across our offices in Collingwood and St Kilda Road. Reporting to the Retail Design & Development Lead, you will provide end-to-end support and guidance to Aesop store development in the ANZ region, through high-level project management of new store openings as well as refurbishment and maintenance. This role involves building relationships with suppliers and liaising with internal and global stakeholders to ensure the delivery of new spaces and refurbishments that meet our standards.
Responsibilities
Lead comprehensive project management for creative solutions across all retail store formats, ensuring adherence to budgets, schedules, and quality standards.
Prepare detailed architectural briefs and adopt a collaborative design approach, including developing practical small-scope solutions for retail and maintenance needs.
Conduct thorough site surveys, providing expert architectural and construction feedback to internal and external stakeholders across ANZ and globally.
Effectively manage relationships with external consultants (e.g., lighting, engineers) and contractors, as well as internal stakeholders.
Apply strong financial acumen, including quantity surveying, budget forecasting, value engineering, and negotiating project tenders.
Coordinate permitting, engineering, and external services for building and occupancy, ensuring compliance with lease agreements.
Implement quality assurance through factory and site visits, shop drawing reviews, and leading the defect rectification process post-completion.
Drive innovation by proactively sourcing samples and engaging in continuous research and trials for new materials and solutions.
About You
Demonstrate a strong commitment to Aesop's retail design environment, customer service, and teams, with solid understanding of retail, design, and construction industries.
Significant experience in multi-project construction management within the retail, hospitality, or related sectors.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proactive approach to building lasting partnerships with local General Contractors.
Highly autonomous, proactive, efficient, and capable of delivering under tight deadlines and pressure.
Decisive and practical thinker, able to solve complex problems creatively.
Attention to detail, strong multitasking abilities, and ability to prioritise work and deliver multiple creative solutions on time.
Proficient in Adobe Suite and Excel; CAD experience is a plus.
Relevant academic background or qualification in Design or Architecture.
