This role will act as a trusted partner to internal stakeholders and vendors, ensuring the delivery of goods and services aligns with both commercial requirements and business goals.You'll lead the development and execution of category strategies, manage the end-to-end sourcing process, support vendor contract negotiations, and ensure compliance with procurement policies and systems like SAP.
Success in this role will come from strong vendor relationship management, accurate spend analysis, and a proactive approach to identifying improvements and delivering value across the business.Requirements for SuccessAnalyse spend data to support benchmarking, vendor rationalisation, and savings opportunitiesLead vendor selection through structured comparison, bidding, and tender processesDefine and deliver cost-saving initiatives aligned with business objectivesNegotiate and manage contracts, ensuring commercial terms meet company standardsMonitor vendor performance and collaborate with stakeholders on improvementsBuild and maintain a strong, reliable vendor pool through ongoing market researchSupport development and execution of the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processReview and approve purchase orders in SAP, ensuring alignment with agreed termsTrack and manage open POs, resolving issues to maintain process flowDrive continuous improvement across procurement processes, including PO and vendor managementManage tender documentation, execution, and result publication via e-sourcing toolsSupport change management when introducing new vendors or sourcing modelsContribute to regional and global sourcing initiatives and budget trackingSkills & ExperienceA degree in Business, Commerce, Procurement or similar4 years' experience in category sourcing, ideally in indirect procurement; retail industry experience is a bonusStrong knowledge of sourcing and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes, with experience using SAP and e-sourcing toolsDemonstrated expertise in data analysis and negotiation, with the ability to interpret complex information and drive commercially sound outcomesProven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholdersA collaborative mindset, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt and learn quicklySelf-motivated, organised, and confident managing multiple priorities independentlyWorking at EssilorLuxotticaA career with EssilorLuxottica will offer you rewarding experiences and the opportunity to develop your skills every day.
