Our client based in regional NSW is looking for a full time skilled meat workers for their meat processing plant.
**Skilled Boners/Slicers**
The position would involve the following duties:
- Table boning.
- Cutting meat to separate meat, fat, and tissue from around bones.
- Washing, scraping, and trimming foreign material and blood from meat.
- Cutting meat into standard meat cuts, and removing internal fat, blood clots, bruises, and other matter to prepare them for packing and marketing.
Essential Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- Excellent knife skills and maintenance of personal equipment
- Attention to detail
- Excellent reliability, attendance and timekeeping at work
- Good communication and positive teamwork
- Sound problem solving capabilities, including reporting malfunctioning of equipment, or workplace health and safety issues
- Ability to manage priorities to meet production schedules
- Ability to work within a cold storage environment and with raw meat products
- Sound understanding of Australian meat industry
- AQF Certificate III in Meat Processing (in Boning Room)
- Fully vaccinated for Q Fever (or be willing to undergo the Q Fever vaccination process)
- Must complete a Pre-employment medical functional drug and alcohol test
- Minimum of 2 years of experience
