**The Opportunity**

Due to an internal move, James Hardie is looking to recruit a Distribution Manager for our Carole Park site. Reporting into the Supply Chain manager, APAC, this role is responsible for managing an efficient and productive warehouse operation, that ensures we can deliver on our strategic priorities to deliver the highest of quality products on time, safely.

With your continuous improvement mindset, you will work collaboratively with your key stakeholders to drive development and implementation of best practice standards across all operations through lean principles and approaches.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Daily management of warehouse and loading operations to safely and efficiently manage customer pickups, inbound and outbound transfers and customer deliveries
- Monthly management of warehouse costs
- Identify ongoing systematic issues and address in conjunction with production, finishing, production scheduling, inventory control and freight
- Manage stocktake and cycle count processes to ensure stock level accuracy in SAP
- Plan, allocate and source daily freight requirements for deliveries, customer pickups and transfers according to required timeframes
- Manage day of operations disruptions and provide timely feedback to customers and internal stakeholders in the event of delay
- Maintain close working relationships and coordination with Production, Finishing, Freight and Inventory Control functions
- Implement tactics and projects within the functional area to support departmental strategies
- Work in alignment with the James Hardie Zero Harm pledge and workplace safety requirements

**About you**
- Minimum five years experience in a warehouse and logistics leadership role
- Experience in direct supervision and management of freight and transport companies.
- Degree qualified with a major in supply chain management preferred.
- Strong work ethics with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment meeting DIFOT KPI's.
- Hands on approach to developing and mentoring the warehouse and freight team
- Excellent attitude towards safety and a demonstrated ability to comply with safety requirements.
- Very strong analytical skillsets including ability to analyse and interpret data and make judgement calls accordingly
- Superior decision making and problem-solving skills
- Must be able to work as part of day shift; 6:30am starts and early 3:00pm finish
