Quality System Specialist

The Opportunity
We are now recruiting for a Quality Systems Specialist to be part of our Brisbane-based Phantom Works Global Team (PW-G). In this role, you will be an integral part of the Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) Quality Team and will provide Quality leadership to our Phantom Works International Team.
The Quality Systems Specialist role within PW-G establishes and maintains Quality policy and governance to assure the functionality and effectiveness of our Quality Management System (QMS). This role also facilitating performance measurement and analytical capability, managing supplier quality imperatives and driving continuous improvement across a number of programs within PW-G.

**Responsibilities**:

- Together drive First Time Quality (FTQ) and continuous improvement across PW-G.
- Develop and lead QMS projects and/or initiatives aligned to the Function's strategic plan and objectives to drive continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Support a number of Technical programs within PW-G.
- Input and influence decisions as they relate to Quality.
- Train and coach internal team members, as appropriate, to enhance employee performance through expansion of skills and capabilities.
- Support the establishment of individual performance plans and evaluate performance-to-plan on a recurring basis.
- Nurture relationships within the Quality Team and with key stakeholders within PW-G to manage resources appropriately and ensure deliverables and timelines are met.

Experience/Qualifications
- 5+ years' experience with Quality Management System (QMS), tertiary level business, aviation management or equivalent qualification and/or commensurate level of professional knowledge and experience.
- Project management experience, leading projects even if not directly responsible for all required deliverables.
- Hands-on mentality with the ability to proactively and independently resolve issues.
- Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to effectively engage, communicate with and influence Senior and Executive level stakeholders.
- Ability to effectively prioritise and time manage in a high pressure environment.
- Professional oral and written communication skills.
- Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements and have the ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Department of Defence clearance up to SECRET level.
