Type : Full-Time Term : Ongoing Education Assistant (Special Learning Needs)Position Details An opportunity has arisen for an Education Assistant to join our College Community.
Education Assistants support teaching staff to provide for the physical, intellectual, social, emotional and spiritual development of students, assists with the implementation of programs for specific teaching and learning needs.
Selection Criteria Essential:
• A strong commitment to the ethos of Catholic Education
• A minimum Certificate III in Education Support or similar qualification
• Experience of working with students with additional needs On appointment, the successful applicant will be required to;
• Have a current Working with Children Check (WWC)
• Have a current Crimtrac Police Clearance
• Undergo Mandatory Reporting Training
• Acquire and/or maintain Accreditation to Work in a Catholic School Desirable:
• Have previous experience of working as an Education Assistant within a school context
• Have a proven ability to work in a collaborative environment as a member of a team
• Be able to assist with the development of community amongst staff, students and parents
