**About the Role**
The primary purpose of this role is the maintenance and upkeep of roadsides, council parks and private residences.

This will start out as a casual job ranging from 8 - 38 hours per week.

**Primary tasks include**:

- General gardening
- Lawn mowing
- Brush cutting
- Hedge trimming
- Chipping
- Planting
- Weeding
- Waste removal

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Ensure work areas are safe
- Participate in daily JSA meetings to mitigate any risks that may be present
- Conduct work in a manner that is safe
- Comply with the employee responsibilities as outlined within the MPG Operations Handbook
- Look out for the safety of self and others
- Maintain and wear all PPE

**Required Skills**:

- Current VIC Drivers Licence (desirable)
- Current Working With Children's Check (desirable)
- The ability to pass a police check
- Ability to work safely and promote safety in the workplace
- Attention to detail
- Problem solving skills
- Daily access to a smart phone
- Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team

**Desirable Skills**:

- Mechanically minded
- Previous gardening experience
- Chemical weed control certificate
- Horticultural certificate
- The ability to drive a manual vehicle
- Medium rigid VIC Drivers Licence
