The opportunity at OneStop
Working closely with our Systems and Security team members, you will monitor network traffic, system logs, and security events to detect anomalies, unauthorised access, and potential threats. You will be crucial in responding to security incidents, leading containment and mitigation efforts, and implementing security best practices to prevent future breaches. You will configure and manage essential security tools, including firewalls, antivirus, intrusion detection systems, SIEM platforms and more.
As a Security Engineer You Will
Conduct regular vulnerability scans and penetration tests to identify potential weaknesses.
Monitor systems, applications, and networks for vulnerabilities and maintain effective patch management.
Analyse the root causes of security breaches and recommending improvements to prevent future incidents.
Investigate network traffic, system logs, and security events to identify anomalies and signs of unauthorised access.
Proactively manage and monitor security threats, breaches, and security incidents, ensuring timely remedial action is taken to prevent re-occurrence.
Configuring and manage firewalls, antivirus, intrusion detection systems, and SIEM platforms.
Automate security checks such as code scanning, vulnerability assessments, and configuration analysis within the development pipeline.
Prepare detailed reports on security incidents, trends, and potential risks for management and stakeholders.
What We're Looking For
Strong knowledge of ICT infrastructure and support functions, primarily in a Windows environment (Azure, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, Networking, firewalls, VMware Administration, IIS, SQL Server Patching, etc.)
Experience in technical implementation of the ACSC Essential Eight mitigation strategies to enhance system security.
Experience with ISO 27001 and PCI-DSS standards for data protection and security management.
Solid technical knowledge of AWS namely, Ec2, systems manager, guard duty, AWS CLI, Lambda functions, S3, CloudWatch, SNS, CloudTrail, Inspector, etc.
At least 1-2-years' experience working with scripting languages such as Python, Ruby or equivalent.
Experience implementing and managing endpoint detection and response solutions e.g. using Bitdefender, Sophos etc.
Experience implementing security systems configuration and maintaining Windows or Linux systems.
Knowledge of infrastructure orchestration using CloudFormation or Terraform.
Familiarity with common security technologies e.g. firewalls, IDS/IPS, IDM, vulnerability assessment, routers and switches.
Knowledge of different logs technologies, sources and transport (Windows event logs, Syslogs, IIS, Nginx, Log4net).
