Observability Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled Observability Engineer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about monitoring and observability.
Job Description:
Our ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Dynatrace SaaS, especially in cloud-native and AWS integrations. They should also have deep knowledge of the ELK stack (Elastic 7.x or 8.x) and best practices for logging in AWS.
The successful candidate will be responsible for deploying and configuring OneAgents and ActiveGates across various environments. They will also set up RUM, synthetic monitoring, and Davis AI to proactively detect performance issues.
In addition, they will build service-centric dashboards and alerting rules aligned with business KPIs and SLAs. They will integrate Dynatrace with AWS CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and incident/alerting platforms.
Our Observability Engineer will also design and implement centralized logging pipelines using Logstash, Beats, and FluentBit for AWS logs. They will manage Elasticsearch clusters for performance, indexing strategies, and retention policies.
They will create meaningful Kibana dashboards and alerts for application and infrastructure logs. The successful candidate will correlate log and APM data to assist in root cause analysis and proactive monitoring.
Required Skills:
Hands-on experience with Dynatrace SaaS, especially in cloud-native and AWS integrations.
Deep knowledge of ELK stack (Elastic 7.x or 8.x) and best practices for logging in AWS.
Solid experience with AWS services (EC2, EKS, Lambda, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, etc.).
Strong skills in Bash/Python/PowerShell scripting for automation and data transformation.
Experience working in DevOps/Agile delivery environments.
Understanding of microservices and container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes).
