**About the Opportunity**

This role is focused on proactive inspections of public assets for safety and increased life-span. Routine inspections for the purpose of fault identification and maintenance program development as well as some repairs of playgrounds, sport fields, irrigation systems, street furniture and open space programs

A typical day will see you at different parts of the shire delivering your inspections and associated works. A small amount of office time for data entry and reporting, then ordering and/or fixing identified issues.

Being part of a small, dynamic team, there are also a myriad of day to day challenges that can come your way to help keep the wheel of the bigger Parks and Gardens team turning

This role is a permanent, full-time opportunity with a Fortnightly RDO. Remuneration begins at $74K to $77.2K (Band 4) plus superannuation.

**About You**

The successful applicant will have relevant experience in a similar role, be certified from a recognised Playground Inspector course and a full Victorian licence. They will also be a go-getter that can work alone, while keeping their direct report up-to-date with their actions. Being proven to be hands-on and keen to develop the role will also be highly regarded.

Mitchell Shire Council are a Child Safe Organisation. The successful applicant will be required to obtain a Working with Children Check, prior to commencement.
