**Job description**

The duties and responsibilities of the position will be as follows:

- Harvesting and extracting Honey
- Brood Nest management operations
- Inspecting bee sites for good breeding conditions and honey production
- Effectively identifying and controlling honeybee diseases and the management of disease
- Loading and unloading beehives during migratory time
- Checking and re-queening beehives regularly
- Monitoring and maintaining the health and condition of the bees.
- Be competent in all facets of hive management and hive splitting.
- Building beehives.

You will need the following to be successful for this role:

- 5 years beekeeping work experience or a relevant degree.
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills in good beekeeping practice.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to work away from home for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work within a team or unsupervised.
- MR Truck and or Forklift Licence would be advantageous.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $65,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
