**The position**
The Head of O&M shall be responsible for developing an O&M capability to initially provide support to Australian solar projects and then expand this service offering to the onshore wind, offshore wind, battery storage sectors. This key position is the sole point of accountability for staffing, revenue, safety, standard operating procedures, reporting and the entire O&M customer experience. This person shall manage a team of schedulers, data analysts and O&M technicians to ensure prompt service to our customers. They shall be responsible for maintaining the customer relationship and managing supplier delivery to contact.

The O&M service would be delivered by a team who monitor plant faults, plan maintenance work and deliver maintenance through their own O&M technicians.

**Key Accountabilities**

The Head of O&M will establish the service capability and then manage the service. Accountabilities during set up phase will include;
- Develop the O&M service by establishing the solar O&M service team and the associated business operating procedures, including the implementation of necessary IT systems.
- Create proposals, solicit bids and contribute to contract negotiation for O&M service offering.
- Interview, select and train the O&M team to ensure team meet the technical and safety training needs.
- Negotiate and select contractors to establish supply chain for O&M service delivery.
- Develop and promote an active marketing campaign to promote this service capability

Accountabilities during the long-term delivery phase will include;
- Responsible for the O&M budget and cost of service to deliver a viable and profitable business.
- Expand and grow O&M services to attract new customers
- Identify new work opportunities to grow existing customer revenue by delivering new services and expanding portfolio services.
- Collaborate with plant OEMs & supplier to ensure prompt response to warranty claims, future sales and repairs. Work closely with suppliers to ensure replacement part availability
- Monitor and maintain service level agreements with customers and suppliers
- Ensuring the O&M business is profitable and delivering a quality service with is efficient and cost effective.
- Establish maintenance plans and reporting systems.
- Review legal contracts and scope of works for future O&M service offerings.
- Be an exemplary role model to encourage the avoidance of risk-taking behaviours across the business and provide the personal commitment never to "risk it".

**Knowledge**
- Knowledge of O&M operating system, maintenance schedules and reporting.
- Knowledge of legal contact review

- Strong contracts in the O&M industry

**Experience**
- Successful track record in O&M delivery service
- Experience working as a manager or team lead

**Qualifications**
- Relevant technical or engineering qualification or equivalent experience.
