Fixed term fulltime position for 2 years This position offers you the opportunity to play a key role in launching a new technology across the Australian Livestock Industry.
Our team have developed a new type of scanner to measure meat eating quality in lamb and beef – allowing you to find that perfect lamb roast or steak.
Over the next 2 years, we will install this device in 6 commercial meat processing plants across Australia and demonstrate its impact in the Australian industry.

In this role, you will manage the installation and adoption of this device at commercial meat processing plants (abattoirs).
You will be responsible for training of staff and ensuring that the device is effectively integrated into their business.
You will identify issues in uptake and usage of device and work closely with our engineering team to come up with solutions.
This role will require extensive travel to sites across Australia, and you will spend significant amounts of time working at these sites as you manage the installation and usage of our new meat scanner.
This project is a collaboration between the Institute for Photonics and Advanced Sensing and The Davies Livestock Research Centre, in partnership with Adelaide company Miniprobes Pty Ltd and Meat & Livestock Australia.
To be successful you will need: Experience in the Livestock and Red Meat Industry.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate across disciplines and collaborate with industry.
Ability to manage projects with industry partners.
Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.
Evidence of an understanding of livestock anatomy and physiology.
High level organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise and manage workload within a busy environment and meet competing deadlines.
