The role The key purpose of the role is to lead activities related to the budgeted balance sheet for Queensland Health. The position will maintain balance sheet data used for external reporting including the State Budget Papers and work with stakeholders across the Department of Health, Hospital and Health Services (HHSs) and Queensland Treasury on a variety of other reporting and analysis tasks. The role will be forward-looking and contribute to the achievement of Finance Branch outcomes through continual process improvements using financial systems and data management to identify emerging issues, efficiency improvements and support data-driven decision making.

**The successful personYou will have demonstrated**:

- experience with continuous improvement programs and initiatives in areas that would add value to financial management.
- experience in the use and development of contemporary financial management information technology and data management.
- expertise or the ability to acquire expertise in the development and delivery of formal and informal training programs.
- knowledge of or ability to learn accounting standards, legislation, contemporary financial management practices and policies.
- ability to operate in a strategic analysis environment around longer term objectives.
