He/she is to be an effective educator who models an understanding and strong commitment to Christian Education.
A passion for educating and nurturing students in a regional setting is fundamental to this role.Heritage Christian School has a clearly defined Teaching and Learning Framework, the Head of Junior School will lead the implementation of High Impact Teaching Strategies with this approach.This position will start January 2026.Key Requirements:Relevant tertiary qualifications for the position and NESA teacher accreditationOpen affirmation, ownership and practice of the Christian faithDemonstrated team oriented, collegial and collaborative Christian leadershipImplementation and monitoring of a Christ-centred and Bible based curriculum which enables students to learn a Christian perspective of the worldKnowledge of current syllabus documents and proven ability to develop contemporary teaching and learning programsDemonstrated ability in using technology and data in the learning processAn understanding of and commitment to student wellbeingFirst Aid qualificationUnderstanding of Designing for Deep Learning (DDL) and Transformation by Design (TbD) and Explicit instruction approaches to learning (EI)Commitment to the school's Child Safe StandardsPersonal Attributes:A committed Christian and an active member of a churchCommitment to the school's Vision, and PurposeDemonstrated ability to contribute to the co-curricular life of the SchoolWell-developed written, oral and organisational skillsDemonstrated ability to problem solve, including having hard conversations when neededAn ability to work effectively as a team memberA commitment to ongoing personal professional development and best practiceAbility to be discreet and maintain confidentialityWork with an authentic Christian team.EAP Program with free counselling sessionsEmployee benefits package with 15-50% off leading retail brandsGrow in your faith, skills, and experience.
