**Position Information**:
Bonnyrigg High School is a partially selective, co-educational school in South Western Sydney on the land of the Cabrogal clan of the Dharug nation. The school has an enrolment of approximately 1660 students, including 98% from a non-English speaking background and 3% Aboriginal students. Bonnyrigg High School is a high performing school with a strong learning culture and high expectations of students. Applicants must satisfy the teacher training and academic qualification requirements for this position. In addition to the general selection criteria,

1. Highly visible instructional leader with a proven capacity to lead whole school professional learning aligned with the initiatives within the school's School

Excellence Plan.

2. Proven ability to lead quality whole school curriculum development and the successful implementation of whole school literacy and numeracy programs.

3. Demonstrated ability to lead the development and implementation of the Department of Education's 'High Potential and Gifted Education Program' in

the school.

4. Evidence of outstanding leadership, communication and interpersonal skills to lead the LOTE faculty and foster quality partnerships with key

stakeholders developing a strong culture of high expectations and a collective efficacy.

**General Selection Criteria**:
1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice

2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs

3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams

4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents

5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning

6. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy
