Who We Are :
Brisbane Youth Education and Training Centre is a Department of Education school located within the Brisbane Youth Detention Centre at Wacol.
Operating 48 weeks a year, it provides a supportive, skills-focused learning environment for young people in detention, helping them build knowledge, values, and confidence to make positive choices.
The school collaborates closely with Youth Justice, Queensland Health, and other partners to support student wellbeing and success.
Staff benefit from flexible working arrangements and the opportunity to take leave outside of traditional school holiday periods, with conditions aligned to relevant awards.
Step Into Your Next Chapter :
Lead and manage the school's Information and Communication Technology assets, including procurement and disposal.
Apply innovative technical solutions and implement leading-edge technologies to meet the unique needs of a detention centre school.
Provide a high level of service and issue resolution.
Interpret policies and other guidelines related to the school's ICT operations to ensure compliance with Department expectations.

What You Bring :
Expert technical knowledge and experience in the selection, procurement, and installation of hardware and software, with the ability to maintain and enhance existing systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide expert technical advice and support to school staff.
