A creative 2D Animator is required to bring to life a unique cartoon concept centered around the adventures of a couple. The animation will capture the playful, trippy, and surreal experiences that define their shared journey, with an emphasis on humor, imagination, and bold visual storytelling. This personal project seeks an animator who can blend character-driven animation with vibrant, unconventional styles to create a memorable and fun depiction of these adventures. The role is ideal for someone passionate about storytelling through animation and able to translate personality and emotion into distinctive visuals.
Responsibilities
Design and animate characters inspired by the couple's likeness, ensuring they reflect personality and charm.
Develop imaginative scenes that showcase surreal and adventurous scenarios with humor and creativity.
Create smooth, polished 2D animation sequences that maintain consistent style and tone throughout.
Suggest creative ideas for visual storytelling and contribute to shaping the overall aesthetic.
Deliver final video in an optimized format suitable for sharing on digital platforms.
Skills and Requirements
Strong background in 2D animation, with a portfolio demonstrating character animation and stylized storytelling.
Proficiency in animation software such as Adobe Animate, Toon Boom Harmony, After Effects, or equivalent tools.
Ability to translate real-life likenesses into appealing cartoon characters.
Creativity in visualizing abstract, surreal, or "trippy" concepts in a cohesive animation style.
Strong sense of humor, timing, and visual storytelling to keep the animation engaging.
Comfortable working remotely with clear communication on feedback and revisions.
Flexibility regarding timeline, with ability to provide guidance on realistic project delivery schedules.
