Apply now Job no: ELMO-Work type: Full Time Permanent (F)Location: Sydney (CBD)Categories: Legal PracticeAbout the RoleThis opportunity is for an enthusiastic Solicitor to join our high performing Health practice in our Sydney office on a full time basis.Ideally, you will be newly admitted or with up to 2 years post qualification experience with a keen interest in health and medical negligence.You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of health and medical negligence matters while representing medical and allied health care professionals; including but not limited to coronial investigations and inquests, disciplinary investigations and personal injury claims.This exciting role will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to be heavily involved in all aspects of the above matters, allowing you to make a significant contribution to their outcome.

Ideally, you will have:A genuine interest in working in insurance law or litigation ideally in the health and medical negligence spaceNewly admitted or with up to 2 years post admission experience in an Insurance practice, preferably with some health or medical negligence experienceAbility to work fast and meticulously with high attention to detailExcellent communication and organisational skillsAbility to work collaboratively and be a key member of a busy and close-knit teamA great work ethic and be keen to learn and develop your careerA hard working and dedicated approach to your practiceEducationCompletion of a recognised Law degree in AustraliaSkills & AbilitiesDemonstrates an understanding of the legal issues relevant to the practice of health law and a demonstrated ability to understand and respond to the commercial objectives of clientsThis role requires an eye for technical detail but also the ability to provide legal advice in a commercial context.
