Overview
Operational Analyst (FTC) role at AUSIEX. We are AUSIEX with over 25 years of local market experience and backing from Nomura Research Institute. We specialise in equities execution, clearing & settlement services, and equities administration for financial intermediaries.
In 2025, we expanded our group by welcoming FIIG Securities, a fixed income specialist. The Fixed Income division provides access to fixed income opportunities and supports investors with insights and opportunities across the asset class.
What Will You Be Doing
An Operations Analyst within FIIG's Custody team will perform critical back-office functions to ensure a smooth client experience. You will work with the wider custody team to ensure accurate and timely processing of coupons and trades for client purchases and sales. The Operations Analyst will become a subject matter expert on the processing of Treasury cash movements within FIIG's bank accounts as well as reconciliations of cash, trades, FX, client receivables and payables. You will operate ethically and be a key contact between FIIG's front and back offices.
Accurate and timely processing of coupons and counterparty trades for clients and Global Custody
Process cash movements within FIIG's bank accounts
Reconciliations of cash, trades, FX, client receivables and payables
Manage journal entries into the company's systems
End of day reporting to management ensuring any issues are escalated
Ensure activities are signed off by managers and work to strict GS007 audit requirements and support auditors
Be a key contact between front and back office to resolve queries and ensure a positive client experience
Contribute ideas to improving processes and efficiencies
Month end reporting to finance
Assist with the development and maintenance of written procedures documents
Cross train in other functions within the Custody team
We'd love to hear from you if you have
1-2 years experience within financial services (essential)
Experience with Fixed Income securities (a strong advantage)
Intermediate to Advanced computer literacy in MS Office with a focus on Excel
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrate initiative, problem solving skills and strong attention to detail
Experience working in a GS007 Certified operations team (advantage)

Able to engage with internal stakeholders to resolve issues
