The HR Technology team owns and supports the group's People Technology capabilities. You will play a key role as part of the Application Engineering DevOps team, working with the Project Delivery squad across multiple platforms such as DHP, CDAO, HR Platforms, etc.

You are passionate about modernising the HR ecosystem through strategic and secure use of cloud infrastructure and services
We are undergoing one of Australia's largest digital transformations and establishing an AI Engineering function within HR
Together we bring an engineering culture and passion for DevSecOps within the cloud
Responsibilities
Provide strategic technical leadership and mentorship driving best practices for ServiceNow customer journey and user experience development as well as associated architecture, deployment and scaling
Oversee the design and development of scalable code features and functionality with a focus on performance and reliability and architect core components, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability
Participate in cross-group activities to build a culture of one team, bar-raising both our engineering capability and our technology solutions to drive our strategy
Collaborate with data scientists, engineers and stakeholders to define and implement technical requirements. Translate needs into technical solutions and ensure the platform's reliability through robust monitoring, logging, and alerting systems
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including architecture blueprints and best practices as well as conduct workshops and training sessions to educate and align the team on platform usage and best practices
Technical skills
We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don't expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team;
Good understanding of modern Cloud technology stacks (ideally with AWS certifications) and how it can most effectively be utilised and managed in enterprise environments, including knowledge of EC2, ECS, S3, Lambda, Step Functions, RDS, DynamoDB, IAM
ServiceNow Platform Skills including the following
Scripting using JavaScript (Client Scripts, Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Policies)
Building and consuming REST APIs and SOAP based integrations
Designing Flows and Journeys
Understanding and implementing Security Rules
Developing Portals using AngularJS
Experience with MID Servers
Designing ATFs
Experience with UI Builder – Optional
Experience with CI/CD Pipelines like Xtype – (Optional)
Building test scripts with Playwright – (Optional)
Modules: Custom Application, HRSD (preferred not mandatory), HSW (Optional)
Certifications
CSA (Certified System Administrator)
CAD (Certified Application Developer) - Optional
CIS-HRSD (Certified Implementation Specialist – HRSD) – Optional
Good to have
A keen interest in researching new AI tooling and you are a daily user of AI coding assistants such as Cursor, Continue, GitHub CoPilot, Aider, Cline, Roo Code etc.
