The YMCA Queensland's childcare services have been at the heart of Australian communities for more than 40 years, with our first early learning service opening in Brisbane in 1977 after we identified the need for childcare that focused on helping children grow in body, mind, and spirit.
YMCA Outside School Hours Care (OSHC)
provides fun, stimulating, and safe care for primary and secondary school children before and after school.
At OSHC, children have the opportunity to participate in cooking, sport, music, art, dance, and more.
Your workspace at the Y
YMCA Boondall Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) Service
is situated at Boondall State Primary School and is licensed for 150 children.
We offer before and after school care from
6:00am to 9:00am
and
2:30pm to 6:00pm
, Monday to Friday, as well as Vacation Care operating from
6:00am to 6:00pm
.
At
YMCA Boondall OSHC
, we play, learn, and nurture children through nature and adventure play, including barefoot play, arts and crafts, and outdoor adventures.
We collaborate with the school to ensure our program aligns with school principles and behavior systems.
Our resources include access to basketball and netball courts, a swimming pool, a large oval, a prestigious prep playground, and a computer laboratory.
ABOUT THE ROLE
OSHC Educators care for children before school, after school, and during school holidays.
You'll assist in running engaging, fun-filled, and educational activities such as science experiments, outdoor games, painting, and musical activities.
As an OSHC Educator, you will:
Hold a rewarding, challenging, and interesting position
Be able to allocate your availability to suit study or family needs
Have opportunities for career advancement
Join a dedicated team of staff and work with fantastic children and families
Receive regular professional development and training
Our children and Educators create an inclusive space filled with engaging planned and spontaneous play experiences.

ABOUT YOU
Hold a Certificate or Diploma in Children's Services, or are studying towards a relevant qualification
Have a fun, imaginative, and positive attitude
Hold or be willing to obtain current First Aid and CPR certification
Hold or be willing to obtain a Positive Notice Blue Card
