We are looking for an experienced Payroll Advisor to work within a small and collaborative team based at our Jandakot office.

What You Will Do

Provides effective Payroll service to ATCO Australia divisions in accordance with policies, procedures, awards and agreements and associated legislation. Maintain HR Information Systems, and assist with testing and maintenance of systems for upgrades. Participate in operational and ad-hoc projects as required.

Your contribution and responsibilities

Remuneration & Benefits
- Maintains employee personnel files in line with corporate policy and legislative requirements.
- Maintains employee records in the HR system, ensuring personnel information and remuneration arrangements comply with awards, employment contracts and enterprise agreements.
- Processes changes in superannuation, benefits and other employee salary packaging programs.
- Processes Child support and Government Paid Parental leave.
- Process and manage Workers' Compensation and Salary Continuance payments.
- Processes employee taxation changes, employee deductions, overtime and allowance payments.
- Sets up new employees in the payroll system.
- Calculates and processes payments for terminations/ back pays/ adjustments etc.
- Prepares fortnightly timesheet data, including Kronos reports and data extracts for uploading into the payroll system to meet payroll processing deadlines.
- Processes Fortnightly payroll to pay employees timely and accurately.
- Submits STP reporting timely.
- Distributes remittance reports to 3rd party vendors for Union dues, Novated Lease deductions, social club, etc.
- Provides support to Finance on payroll posting queries.
- Performs system testing on enhancements or legislative changes.
- Ensures all payroll-related documentation is securely saved to meet legislative obligations, and internal and external Audit requirements.
- Provides timely and accurate payroll advice and support to Supervisors / Employees in line with HR policies, procedures and legislation.
- Assists with the undertaking of monthly and year-end reconciliations.
- Undertake investigations relating to complex payroll matters.
- Responds to employee payroll queries (internal and external customers).
- Participates in HR systems development projects as required to meet changing business needs.
- Provides general administrative support as required.

What will you bring

Essential
- Demonstrated experience working in a payroll function end to end.
- Proficient in using Payroll systems for a medium to a large workforce.
- Understand Australian payroll-related legislation, taxation, superannuation, and accounting regulations.
- Proven experience in Award and Enterprise Agreement interpretation.
- Strong analytical skills coupled with high attention to detail to ensure accuracy and systems integrity.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven time leadership skills to optimally deliver multiple priorities.
- Proven background in data analysis and MS Office.
- Advanced MS Excel skills.
- Excellent process/work instruction document writing skills.
- Demonstrated SAP experience.

Desirable
- Experience with Kronos Time and Attendance.
