About us
The Central Queensland region is home to a diverse range of communities, including rural towns and cities.
The 32-bed facility features two operating theatres and approximately 160 staff delivering emergency, acute, maternity, perioperative, mental health, palliative, child health, infusion, HITH, and primary care services.
Nearby, three smaller Multi-Purpose Health Services (MPHS) operate in Blackwater, Springsure, and Woorabinda, along with two primary care centers at Gemfields and Capella.
Blackwater MPHS is a busy 16-bed rural facility providing acute, aged care, emergency, outpatient, and radiology services. Springsure supports local mining and agriculture, offering integrated health services. Woorabinda MPHS is a 28-bed service providing emergency, inpatient, outpatient, and residential aged care 175 km west of Rockhampton.
Job purpose
The primary objective of this position is to advocate for and provide advice on quality, safety, and risk management practices to meet the strategic and operational objectives of the business unit, as well as the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS) EQuIPNational Standards.
About you
We are seeking a Registered Nurse with a relevant postgraduate certificate or diploma. A clinical qualification and experience or significant experience in a similar position in a clinical environment would be highly regarded.

Total remuneration package of up to $74,161 per annum.

An hourly rate between $65.56 per hour.
