Job Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Project and Automation Engineer to join our Engineering team in Sydney. This is a permanent, full-time position. If you have passion for engineering excellence and are ready to take on exciting challenges, we would like to hear from you.
About the Role
This role involves project management, including managing all aspects of the project to agreed-upon requirements and ensuring technical, quality, safety, and financial targets are met.
You will be responsible for managing timelines and resources to ensure projects are completed to specification, on time and within budget.
Provide on-site presence and support for project management, coordination, and commissioning until project completion.
Identify, analyze, and address project risks with regular sharing of lessons learned.
Build strong rapport and ongoing relationships with clients, and liaise with key stakeholders, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the commissioning of packaging machinery, both in-house FAT and at customer sites SAT.
Conduct thorough FATs with customers, demonstrating machine functionality, performance, and adherence to specifications.
Support installation and commissioning activities at customer sites, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance of machinery.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to machine operation, control systems, and automation during testing and commissioning phases.
Utilize PLC programming skills (e.g., Rockwell, Omron) to fine-tune machine logic, resolve issues, and implement minor program modifications or enhancements during commissioning.
Apply in-depth knowledge of industrial automation principles to configure, test, and optimize machine control systems.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechatronic or Electrical engineering).
Automation Engineering and Project Management experience (recent graduates with relevant project or internship experience encouraged to apply).
Understanding of contractual requirements.
Excellent planning, organization, and communication skills.
Familiarity with the Food & Beverage industry and its specific packaging requirements highly advantageous.
Proficient in MS-based applications: MS Project, Excel, and Office.
