Job description

An Australian owned company is a global market leader in the design and manufacture of high-quality products for housing and commercial construction industries. They are requiring the services of a laser operator in their manufacturing site based in Yatala. This is a new product and new laser and new position so get in at the start. The pay rate team and company are exceptional to be involved with.

**Job Description**:
New position to join the Sheetmetal division which will mark out, shape, form and join sheets and other materials to make products and components as scheduled within the manufacturing division. This is a new product and new laser machine and new position so get in at the start.

Essential Skills

Previous Operating and programming of Laser Cutter.
Read and interpret work orders and drawings for specifications.
Find and cut material to suit program.
Unloading and sorting parts.
DraftSight or similar advantageous.
Ordering and tracking consumables.
Cleaning and scheduled maintenance.
Two current work-related referees
Meet strict deadlines and other timeframes.
Ensure parts meet quality requirements.
Work with team members to achieve results with quality.
Must have the right to work in Australia full time.

About You

Ability to read work orders and drawings.
You must be a team player, focused and work well under pressure.
Be a problem-solver and have excellent ability and techniques.
Strong work ethic and a professional manner.
Current forklift licence advantageous.
Basic hand tool knowledge.
Computer experience.
Own transport current drivers' licence
The right to work in Australia full time.
Live within 20 mins of Yatala on the Gold Coast QLD
Worked in a workshop before and happy to continue to do so.
Ability to communicate within a small tight team follow instructions when given.
Two contactable current work-related referees
