This exceptional opportunity will lead a highly motivated and cohesive team at Volunteering Victoria and take the organisation to the next level as they embark on a new strategic plan. Reporting to a skills-based Board, the Chief Executive Officer will be responsible for thought leadership, advocacy and ensuring the effective management and financial viability of the organisation into the future. Pivotal to your success is your charisma and ability to collaborate, listen and foster strong stakeholder relationships with the sector and government entities.

Volunteering Victoria is the peak body for volunteering in Victoria. Their aim is to promote and build a vibrant, strong volunteering community that is inclusive, respected and sustainable. Volunteering Victoria supports their members through a range of activities including advocacy, sector development, the promotion of volunteering, as well as facilitating opportunities for people and organisations to meet community needs through volunteering.

The Chief Executive Officer will be innovative, with a firm commitment to accountability as well as demonstrate the following:

- A Tertiary Qualification +/- Post Graduate qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in an executive leadership role with the ability to inspire teams and community leaders, preferably from the Not-for-Profit sector
- Proven ability to articulate a vision and the capability to plan and prioritise at the strategic level in a complex environment
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills
- A track record of building a values-based culture and high performing team
- Effective change management skills and the ability to bring people along the journey
- The ability to influence and work collaboratively with a range of interest groups including, members, corporate partners, local, state and national government agencies
- Strong commercial acumen and sound financial management skills
