Executive Director, Road Safety Victoria Location: MelbourneThe Department of Transport and Planning is seeking an exceptional Executive Director to lead Road Safety Victoria.
This pivotal role drives the delivery of Victoria's Road Safety Strategy and Action Plans, shaping policy, partnerships, and programs that save lives and improve community outcomes.We're looking for a resilient and adaptable leader who thrives in dynamic environments, can hold their own with Ministers and their offices, inspires teams, and brings clarity to challenging issues.
You'll be a strategic thinker with proven experience in executive leadership, stakeholder engagement, and delivering results in a complex policy and program landscape.Overview This is an executive-level opportunity to lead a high-performing division within Road Safety Victoria, reporting to the Deputy Secretary, Network Design and Integration, and to drive collaboration across government, portfolio agencies, and external stakeholders to strengthen Victoria's road safety capability.Responsibilities Lead Road Safety Victoria and drive delivery of Victoria's Road Safety Strategy and Action Plans.Shape policy, partnerships, and programs that improve community outcomes and save lives.Lead a high-performing division and promote collaboration across government, portfolio agencies, and external stakeholders.Build trust, influence outcomes, and navigate complexity to strengthen road safety capability.Work with Ministers and their offices and provide strategic direction in a dynamic policy environment.Inspire teams and provide clarity to challenging issues while delivering results.Qualifications / Experience Senior executive with proven experience in executive leadership, stakeholder engagement, and delivering results in a complex policy and program landscape.Ability to build trust, influence outcomes, and navigate political and organizational complexity.Experience leading a division and collaborating across government, portfolio agencies, and external stakeholders.Strategic thinker capable of operating effectively with Ministers and their offices.How to apply Please send an application quoting Ref No A to Watermark Search International at (emailprotected).
